Nvidia, Deutsche Telekom Strike €1B Partnership

Nvidia and Deutsche Telekom have struck a €1 billion partnership to build a next-gen AI data center in Munich—one expected to increase Germany’s AI computing power by up to 50%. Known as the Industrial AI Cloud, the facility will rely on Nvidia DGX B200 systems and RTX Pro Servers powered by as many as 10,000 Blackwell GPUs. The deal supports local businesses with in-country AI inferencing while meeting data-sovereignty requirements.

Why the Munich AI Data Center Matters

Under the Nvidia–Deutsche Telekom partnership, Germany gains a critical infrastructure boost as the Industrial AI Cloud unlocks faster AI development across robotics, manufacturing, digital twins, and simulation. The platform is designed for German organizations needing high-performance computing without outsourcing workloads abroad. SAP will provide its business technology layer, while Deutsche Telekom handles physical infrastructure.

Who Will Benefit From the €1B Partnership?

Early partners include Perplexity and Agile Robots. Perplexity will offer in-country AI inferencing services, while Agile Robots will help deploy server racks using robotics systems. From enterprise automation to mission-critical engineering, the collaboration aims to reduce Europe’s reliance on foreign AI platforms and bolster industrial competitiveness under strict German data compliance rules.
