Next-Gen Panther Lake Processor Debuts
On Thursday, Intel introduced its latest chip, codenamed Panther Lake, the next evolution of the Intel Core Ultra family. What makes this launch groundbreaking is that it’s the first processor built using Intel’s 18A semiconductor process, a technology designed to deliver faster speeds and improved energy efficiency.
The chips are slated to begin shipping later this year, coming straight from Intel’s Fab 52 facility in Chandler, Arizona, which officially came online in 2025.

Intel Xeon 6+ Previews The Future Of Server Computing
Alongside Panther Lake, Intel also previewed its Xeon 6+ processor, codenamed Clearwater Forest — the company’s first 18A-based server chip. Intel expects to launch it in the first half of 2026, positioning it as a key player in powering future AI and cloud workloads.
