EA Open Sources Classic Command & Conquer Games: Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Renegade, Generals

Electronic Arts (EA) is releasing the source code for four Command & Conquer titles under the open source GPL license. The original Command & Conquer (since subtitled Tiberian Dawn) is joined by Red Alert, Renegade, and Generals, the code for all of which can now be found on EA’s GitHub page. Only the code has been open sourced, not the games’ assets and cinematics, but it will help modders and the game restoration community keep the games playable.                                                      Image: Electronic Arts               This isn’t actually a first for EA.
