Required Qualifications
Applicants should possess the following qualifications:
- Doctorate (PhD) from an accredited and recognized university in a relevant field.
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, Office Management, or another relevant social science discipline.
- Served as Deputy Registrar, Grade 14, or in a comparable position for at least three (3) years.
- CS(K), CHRP, or a Postgraduate Diploma in a relevant field.
- Registration with the relevant professional body.
- Evidence of participation and contribution in seminars, conferences, or research related to administration and management.
- A Strategic Leadership Development Programme certificate lasting at least six (6) weeks will be an added advantage.
- Certificate in Computer Application Skills from a recognized institution.
- Demonstrated professional competence, leadership ability, and strong managerial performance.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supervising and managing all administrative and operational functions within the Office of the Registrar (Administration and Human Resource).
- Formulating and reviewing administrative policies and procedures.
- Coordinating staff training and development programmes.
- Managing employee remuneration in line with legal and statutory requirements.
- Ensuring safe and healthy working conditions across the university.
- Overseeing the Personnel Registry, Central Registry, and Blue Registry operations.

- Ensuring staff recruitment, engagement, and separation processes comply with approved university policies.
- Advising university management on human resource policies, programmes, and procedures.
- Supporting departments in manpower planning, recruitment, job analysis, and staff selection.
- Directing general maintenance activities.
