Apple Just Shared Bad News About New Macs
If you’ve been waiting for new Macs this year, Apple just confirmed some disappointing news. During its latest earnings call, Apple’s CFO Kevan Parekh hinted that no additional Mac launches are planned for 2025. This statement suggests fans hoping for M5 Pro or M5 Max MacBook Pros—or refreshed Mac mini and iMac models—will have to wait until 2026.
Why Apple Isn’t Releasing More Macs in 2025
Parekh explained that Apple expects a “difficult comparison” to last year’s strong Mac lineup, which included major updates to the M4 MacBook Pro, Mac mini, and iMac. With fewer releases this time around, Apple’s Mac revenue growth may remain flat in Q4 2025. The only new model this year was the entry-level 14-inch M5 MacBook Pro, leaving high-end configurations untouched.

This update aligns with earlier reports suggesting that M5 Pro and M5 Max MacBook Pro models, along with new Mac mini and iMac versions, are scheduled for early 2026. For now, it seems Apple is focusing on optimizing M5 chip performance before rolling out its full lineup next year.
