The rollout includes Canada, India, Japan, South Korea, Vietnam, Indonesia, Brazil, Singapore, Colombia, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Panamá, Honduras, Argentina, and Pakistan — marking a major step in Google’s AI expansion.
A Growing Global Community Of AI App Creators
“When we opened up Opal to users in the U.S., we anticipated they might build simple, fun tools,” said Megan Li, senior product manager at Google Labs, in a company blog post. “We didn’t expect the surge of sophisticated, practical, and highly creative Opal apps we got instead.”
According to Li, the ingenuity of early adopters made one thing clear — Google needed to get Opal into the hands of more creators globally.
How Google’s Opal Works
The app lets users build mini web apps by describing what they want in plain language. Using a mix of Google’s advanced AI models, Opal instantly generates an interactive app.
Once built, creators can open the editor panel to visualize the workflow — from inputs and outputs to generation steps. Each step can be edited, reviewed, or expanded using Opal’s intuitive toolbar. Finished projects can then be published to the web and shared via link, allowing others to test them using their own Google accounts.
Performance Boosts And Debugging Upgrades
Alongside the expansion, Google introduced several key improvements to Opal.
The company revealed a major upgrade to Opal’s debugging experience — still fully no-code, but now more visual and efficient. Users can run workflows step by step, identify errors in real-time, and fine-tune performance directly in the editor.
Google also announced faster load times and smoother performance. Previously, creating a new Opal could take up to five seconds; now, it’s nearly instantaneous. Plus, parallel step execution enables complex workflows to run multiple processes simultaneously, making the creation experience faster and more powerful.
A Rising Trend In AI-Driven Creativity
With its July U.S. debut, Opal positioned Google among other no-code pioneers like Canva, Figma, and Replit, all racing to empower nontechnical users to prototype apps effortlessly.
Now that Google launches its AI vibe-coding app Opal in 15 more countries, the company is clearly doubling down on its vision of AI-assisted creativity — where anyone, regardless of coding skill, can bring their ideas to life.
As AI continues to redefine productivity and design, Opal may become one of Google’s most accessible and creator-friendly AI tools yet.
