A Bigger, Faster Kindle Scribe

The new Kindle Scribe now comes with an 11-inch glare-free display designed for comfortable reading and writing. At just 5.4mm thick and 400 grams, it’s slim and lightweight, making it ideal for long reading sessions.

Amazon says the device is 40% faster when writing or turning pages. A new texture-molded glass improves pen friction, so writing feels more natural—closer to pen on paper.

New Power Under The Hood

The Kindle Scribe upgrades don’t stop at the screen. It comes with a new quad-core chip, extra memory, and Amazon’s latest Oxide display technology. These improvements make page turns, note-taking, and navigation feel smoother than ever.

Introducing Kindle Scribe Colorsoft

The highlight of the event was the Kindle Scribe Colorsoft, Amazon’s first e-reader with a vibrant color display. Readers can now enjoy books, comics, and documents in full color—something fans have been waiting years for.

Paired with AI features that help organize notes and summaries, the Colorsoft takes Kindle beyond just reading, making it a productivity tool as well.

Pricing And Availability

Amazon is releasing two versions of the Kindle Scribe.

  • With front light system – Available later this year in the U.S., starting at $499.99.

  • Without front light – Launching early next year at $429.99.

The Kindle Scribe Colorsoft will also roll out in select markets, with pricing details to be announced soon.
