College Social App Fizz Expands Into Grocery Delivery
Fizz, the fast-growing college social app, is now entering the grocery delivery space through a new partnership with Gopuff. The move allows students to order everything from late-night snacks to weekly essentials directly in the Fizz app—with deliveries arriving in as little as 15 minutes.

This expansion reflects a major shift for Fizz, which has already become a central hub on more than 620 campuses across the U.S. With over 27 million posts shared to date, the platform has built its reputation on anonymous student connections, campus communities, and a thriving local marketplace.
Why Fizz Is Adding Grocery Delivery
Fizz co-founder and CEO Teddy Solomon revealed that students had been requesting grocery delivery for some time. Many already use the app’s marketplace to buy and sell items, or to organize group food orders. Adding in-app grocery delivery felt like a natural next step.
By teaming up with Gopuff—another startup originally built by college students—Fizz strengthens its appeal to Gen Z users who value both speed and convenience.
The Synergy Between Fizz and Gopuff
According to Solomon, the partnership works because both brands share similar DNA.
“Gopuff was founded by college students and has long had a strong presence on campuses, so the synergy with Fizz was clear,” Solomon explained. “By combining Fizz’s community and distribution with Gopuff’s instant delivery, we’re making student life easier.”
This integration means students no longer have to juggle multiple apps. Instead, they can stay connected on Fizz while shopping for essentials in just a few taps.
What Students Can Expect
Fizz isn’t just offering groceries—it’s curating them. The new Fizz Store inside the app features themed grocery bundles designed for student lifestyles. Some of the pre-selected collections include:
-
Gym Bag – fitness and wellness essentials.
-
Study Fuel – snacks and drinks for all-night study sessions.
-
Rush Bag – quick must-haves for busy schedules.
By combining social networking with on-demand grocery delivery, Fizz positions itself as more than just a campus app—it’s becoming a one-stop shop for student life.
The expansion shows how Fizz is evolving from a social platform into a lifestyle ecosystem. By tapping into everyday needs like groceries, the company strengthens its presence in student routines and sets itself apart from other campus-based apps.
With its unique blend of community, convenience, and commerce, Fizz’s grocery delivery launch could redefine how college students interact with both social media and daily essentials.
