Apple Pay Donations Supporting National Parks
Apple is once again showing its commitment to preserving America’s natural treasures through a special National Parks initiative. From now until August 29, every purchase made in the U.S. using Apple Pay on Apple.com, in the Apple Store app, or at Apple retail stores will trigger a $10 donation to the National Park Foundation. With a maximum contribution of $1 million, this effort highlights how Apple Pay not only offers convenience but also creates a positive environmental impact.

Apple Watch users are also being invited to take part in the celebration. On August 24, those who record a workout of 20 minutes or more with any app connected to the Health app will unlock a limited-time National Parks award in the Fitness app. Alongside this, animated stickers for Messages add a fun, shareable way to engage in the initiative. These features show how Apple Watch is blending fitness tracking with cultural and environmental awareness.
Special National Parks Content Across Apple Services
Beyond Apple Pay and Apple Watch, several Apple services are spotlighting the beauty of U.S. national parks. Apple Maps now features a “Discover America’s National Parks” guide for hikers, while Apple Fitness+ offers themed “Time to Run” workouts inspired by iconic park landscapes. Apple Podcasts is also curating episodes of The Wild with Chris Morgan, bringing listeners closer to the stories and conservation efforts shaping the parks. Together, these experiences encourage users to explore and appreciate the outdoors.
Apple’s Ongoing Commitment To Conservation
Apple has supported the National Park Foundation annually since 2017, emphasizing its dedication to protecting these iconic landscapes for future generations. CEO Tim Cook has often praised the parks, describing them as places that inspire awe and tranquility while reminding us of the importance of preserving nature. Through this initiative, Apple combines technology, fitness, and conservation, making it easy for people to celebrate national parks while contributing to their protection.
