Life360 Integrates Tile Trackers for Family Safety & Lost Item Protection

Life360 Adds Tile Lost-Item Tracking to Boost Family Safety and Convenience

Wondering how to keep your family safe while also tracking your valuables? Life360, the popular family locator app, now fully integrates Tile’s lost-item tracking technology—years after acquiring Tile for $205 million. This update allows users to not only see real-time locations of family members but also track everyday essentials like wallets, keys, and bags all within a single, easy-to-use app. Combining family safety and item tracking, Life360 now offers a seamless experience for users seeking both peace of mind and convenience.

With this integration, Life360 consolidates two powerful tracking services, making it easier for families and individuals to stay connected. Tile, a strong competitor to Apple’s AirTag, uses Bluetooth-based trackers to find lost items, and now, Life360 users can see these items directly on the app’s map in real-time. This unification means you no longer need separate apps to track your loved ones and your belongings, enhancing both user experience and efficiency.

The rollout of these integrated features began on May 28, 2025, and will reach all users in the coming weeks. Tile users will receive prompts encouraging them to switch to the Life360 app, while existing Life360 users will notice a new “Items” section right under the “People and Pets” tab in the Location view. This centralization simplifies tracking and encourages more active app engagement, boosting both retention and usability.

For lost items, Life360 offers free access to up to two days of location history, helping you quickly locate missing valuables. For subscribers on Life360’s Silver, Gold, and Platinum plans, extended location history is available—with up to 30 days for premium users—allowing comprehensive tracking and better recovery chances. Notably, Silver subscribers now gain access to emergency dispatch services via the Tile SOS button or Life360 app, enhancing user safety in urgent situations (supported on 2024 Tile devices only).

Life360 is also introducing push notifications that alert users if a Tile-tracked item is left behind, providing proactive reminders to avoid losing important possessions. This feature is expected to launch in the upcoming weeks, promising to elevate the user experience by preventing loss before it happens.

This integration highlights Life360’s commitment to evolving family safety tools while leveraging high-value, user-friendly tracking technology. By merging location sharing with advanced Bluetooth item tracking, Life360 appeals to families looking for comprehensive safety and security solutions. If you’re searching for an all-in-one app to safeguard your loved ones and belongings, Life360’s Tile integration is a game-changer worth exploring.
