Lenovo Unveils Solar-Powered Laptops & Multi-Screen Concepts at MWC 2025
At MWC 2025, Lenovo is showing off some concept devices that try new ideas, such as adding a foldable display to a laptop, additional screens that snap on, and even a new laptop with built-in solar panels. Image : Google The first concept device Lenovo is showing at MWC is the Yoga Solar PC, a laptop that has a big solar panel built into the lid. This panel, Lenovo says, can generate power from even indirect sunlight and use that power to lengthen standby time or even charge the battery. The panel boasts a 24% solar energy conversion rate which Lenovo points out is “one of the highest in the industry.” How much energy can it really generate? Lenovo claims that, in direct sunlight, the panel can charge the battery enough to add an hour of video playback in just 20 minutes.
