Google Ending 1st Gen Nest Aware in Select Regions

In July of 2023, Google stopped offering new subscriptions of 1st gen Nest Aware, but allowed existing customers to continue using it. This May, Google will “no longer support the Nest Aware 1st generation service” in some regions.                                                                       Image : Google Google sent out an email about “Important changes to your Nest Aware 1st generation service” on Friday. The one report we have of this change comes from the UK. The announcement does not provide a reason for why support is ending. Subscribers are encouraged to switch to the current Nest Aware or Nest Aware Plus, with this 2nd-generation subscription launching in May 2020. The original Nest Aware offered a per camera pricing structure versus the current flat rate for all devices in your home.
