Google Clock's 'Timer Starter' Widget Arrives on Pixel Phones with Android 15 QPR2
Last year, Google’s Clock app introduced a Timer Starter widget for the Pixel Tablet, and it’s now available on phones with Android 15 QPR2. Image : Google Timer Starter was ostensibly released to showcase the Pixel Tablet’s lockscreen widgets capability in Android 15 QPR1. It appears as one of the default options. As far as we can tell, there was only one report of it appearing on a phone last August. As of Google Clock 7.10, which is the current stable available to all Android users via the Play Store, this new widget does not appear on phones. Android 15 QPR2’s stable release today updates the Clock app to version 7.12 on Pixel phones and enables the Timer Starter widget. (It appeared earlier in the beta cycle.) The widget ranges from 1×1 to taking up your entire homescreen. The default list configuration shows your last three timers and the ‘plus’ to create a new one.
