Google App Introduces ‘Activity’ Tab for Quick Access to Search History on Android
Besides Search and Discover, the Google app on Android offers a bookmarking system that is now getting a fresh coat of paint as part of the “Activity” tab. Image:Google “Activity” replaces the “Saved” tab and appears at the end of the bottom bar, with Notifications moving up. There are three sections: History shows your four most recent searches and visited sites, with each item placed in a card that notes the day, date, and time, as well as domain and a prominent favicon. The overflow menu lets you Save, Share, and Delete. Tap the “[x] items” count to get a full “History” list. Saved items is the old “All saved items” collections view, but everything is individually presented in a carousel. This can include Google Maps listings, saved movies and TV shows, images, and websites. Finally, you can browse all your Collections.
