The New England Patriots have been forced to shut down their account on the decentralized social media platform Bluesky by the NFL. The league, which has existing partnerships with X (formerly Twitter) and Meta, has not yet approved Bluesky as an official platform for its teams. The NFL's Stance on Bluesky Fred Kirsch, the Patriots' Vice President of Content, revealed this news on the team's "Patriots Unfiltered" podcast, responding to a fan's question. He explained that the team had briefly experimented with a Bluesky account but was instructed to remove it by the NFL.
