The New York-based startup announced Tuesday that it secured $100 million in a fresh funding round from investors including HSG, Valor Equity Partners, Founders Fund, and high-profile figures like Ferrari F1 driver Charles Leclerc and McLaren CEO Zak Brown.

With this round, Eight Sleep raises $100M to expand its AI-powered sleep tech, bringing its total funding to roughly $260 million, according to PitchBook. The company previously raised $86 million in a 2021 Series C, which valued it at $500 million. Its valuation has since doubled, though specific figures were not disclosed.

“If we successfully execute our AI roadmap, launch internationally, and develop condition-specific interventions, achieving unicorn status will naturally follow,” said Alexandra Zatarain, co-founder and CMO of Eight Sleep.

AI-Driven Smart Mattresses Transform Sleep

Eight Sleep’s flagship product, the Pod, integrates AI and smart mattress technology to track sleep stages, heart rate, breathing patterns, and movement. Using these insights, the Pod adjusts temperature, elevation, and firmness automatically. It even detects snoring and elevates the base in response to improve sleep quality.

Since its launch in 2019, the company has generated over $500 million in Pod sales and expanded revenue tenfold. With more than one billion hours of sleep data collected, Eight Sleep has built a robust foundation for personalized, AI-powered interventions.

From Reactive Tracking to Personalized Sleep AI

Beyond the Pod, Eight Sleep is expanding with its Sleep Agent, an AI system that uses large language models to create thousands of digital twins for each user. This allows the company to predict outcomes and optimize nightly recovery.

By combining real-time tracking with predictive AI, Eight Sleep is moving from reactive sleep monitoring to proactive, individualized sleep improvement.

A Growing Sleep Tech Market

The sleep tech sector is booming, with competitors ranging from wearables like Oura, Fitbit, and Apple to medical-focused companies such as ResMed. Smart mattress makers, including Eight Sleep, are pushing the envelope by combining hardware and AI to deliver smarter, healthier sleep solutions.

With its latest funding round, Eight Sleep raises $100M to expand its AI-powered sleep tech, reinforcing its position as a leader in the growing sleep technology market. As the company leverages AI to provide personalized interventions, the future of sleep is becoming smarter, healthier, and more proactive than ever.
