DoorDash Rolls Out Creator Program For Short-Form Videos, Adds AI Features And Dine-In Rewards
DoorDash is making a big push into content and customer perks. DoorDash rolls out creator program for short-form videos, adds AI features and dine-in rewards in its latest update, blending food discovery, dining benefits, and creator monetization. This move puts DoorDash in direct competition with apps like Uber Eats that have also been testing video-driven discovery.

The new DoorDash Creator Program allows local food lovers to apply and share short-form videos of their dining experiences. Creators in 20 U.S. cities, including Atlanta, Austin, Miami, and San Francisco, can now apply to participate.
Those accepted will get the chance to record short videos highlighting dishes from local restaurants. If their content meets the program’s standards, they’ll be compensated—though DoorDash hasn’t revealed exact payment details yet. The rollout will expand to more cities by the end of the year.
Short-Form Videos For Food Discovery
Short-form video content is becoming a powerful tool for restaurant marketing. DoorDash believes these clips will help users preview meals before ordering. This follows a trend started by Uber Eats, which tested a TikTok-style feed last year to make food discovery more interactive.
By integrating creators directly into the app, DoorDash is hoping to drive more engagement while giving restaurants a fresh way to showcase their dishes.
Going Out: Rewards For Dining In
Alongside the creator program, DoorDash is officially launching “Going Out.” This dine-in rewards feature has been in testing and is now rolling out for DashPass members in select cities.
“With Going Out, you can find and redeem exclusive in-app offers when you dine in and earn rewards just for coming back,” explained Parisa Sadrzadeh, DoorDash’s VP of strategy and operations. On average, users testing the feature received about $9 in value per order.
This adds a strong incentive for customers to visit local restaurants rather than only ordering delivery.
AI Features To Enhance The Experience
DoorDash is also layering in new AI features aimed at making the ordering and dining process smarter. While details remain limited, the features are expected to personalize recommendations, improve search, and help users discover the best local deals.
By combining creators, AI-driven discovery, and dine-in rewards, DoorDash is positioning itself as more than just a delivery app—it’s becoming a full food discovery platform.
What This Means For Diners And Restaurants
For diners, this update means a richer, more interactive way to discover meals—whether at home or in restaurants. For local restaurants, it’s an opportunity to stand out with authentic video-driven promotion created by real customers.
As DoorDash rolls out creator program for short-form videos, adds AI features and dine-in rewards, it’s signaling a clear direction: blending social content, technology, and perks to keep both diners and restaurants engaged in 2025 and beyond.
