Rocket.new, one of India’s first vibe-coding startups, snags $15M from Accel, Salesforce Ventures

Rocket.new, one of India’s first vibe-coding startups, snags $15M from Accel, Salesforce Ventures in a major seed round. The Surat-based AI platform is aiming to redefine how apps are built by turning natural-language prompts into full production-ready applications — not just prototypes.

A fast climb in the vibe-coding space

The seed round was led by Salesforce Ventures, with participation from Accel and Together Fund. What makes this remarkable is the speed of Rocket.new’s growth. Launched in beta just three months ago, the platform has already attracted over 400,000 users in 180 countries. More than 10,000 of them are paid subscribers, pushing annual recurring revenue to $4.5 million.

Now, the startup is targeting $20–$25 million ARR by the end of this year, and an ambitious $60–$70 million by June next year, according to co-founder and CEO Vishal Virani.

Building from Surat, not Bengaluru

Unlike most Indian tech startups headquartered in Bengaluru or Delhi, Rocket.new is based in Surat, a city better known for textiles and diamonds. Virani co-founded the company with Rahul Shingala and Deepak Dhanak, pivoting from their earlier venture, DhiWise, which focused on developer workflows.

This move marks India’s bold step into the vibe-coding revolution, competing with fast-growing players like Lovable, Cursor, and Bolt.

Beyond day-one problems

Virani describes Rocket.new as the world’s first true vibe solution platform.” Instead of solving just the early hurdles of app development, the company aims to address the “day two” challenges — scaling, product research, and even competitive analysis.

The startup’s agentic system uses AI not only to generate code but also to handle tasks traditionally done by product managers, making it a potential game-changer for startups and enterprises alike.

Who’s using Rocket.new?

In just its version 0.3 stage, Rocket.new has powered the creation of over half a million applications. Its user base includes product managers, solopreneurs, and front-end developers — plus employees from global companies like Meta, PayPal, KPMG, PwC, and Times Internet.

For many, the appeal lies in the ability to spin up full-fledged products using nothing but natural-language prompts.

What’s next for Rocket.new?

With fresh backing from Salesforce Ventures and Accel, Rocket.new plans to accelerate platform development and expand its global footprint. If its growth continues, the startup could position India as a leader in AI-powered vibe-coding platforms.
